WEEK ONE TOP 10 QBs

Well now that week one is in the books there were plenty of surprises in the quarterback rankings.  Whoever expected Justin Fields to rank number 2, and Daniel Jones to rank number 3 overall fantasy quarterback points. Then again, I’m sure no one thought that Aaron Rodgers drop 4 touchdowns on the Jets in week 1.

The top ten also had some familiar faces with Josh Allen who finished with the best overall week 394 passing yards, 4 total touchdowns for 38.76 fantasy points.

The week passing yardage leaders included the afore mentioned Josh Allen 394, Geno Smith 362, Justin Herbert 318, Michael Penix Jr 298, and Joe Flacco 290.

The touchdown leaders on the week were Aaron Rodgers 4, Baker Mayfield 3, Justin Herbert 3.

Now let’s take a look at next week, Josh Allen and Justin Fields will meet in week 2 and we can expect the big numbers to continue.  Daniel Jones however will play at home against the Denver Broncos, and his numbers will come back to reality.  Lamar Jackson will travel to Cleveland and face a defense that held Joe Burrow to 113 passing yards and one touchdown.  Justin Herbert will travel to Las Vegas to face the Raiders defense that gave up 287 passing yards to Drake Maye, so we can expect Herbert to continue in the top 10. Patrick Mahomes will play at home against the Eagles in a Super Bowl rematch, and it figures to be a tough game for Mahomes who may fall out of the top 10.  Aaron Rodgers will host the Seahawks who allowed Brock Purdy to put up 277 yards, I think Rodgers will continue to surprise his critics with another good game and remain in the top 10.  Jalen Hurts will play in Kansas City and continue to roll with his rushing to remain in the top 10 for another week.  Caleb Williams heads to Detroit for week 2 and should continue to post top 10 numbers. Michael Penix put up 298 yards in week 1 but may have lost his top receiver this could be a problem moving forward.
