JORDAN ADDISON SUSPENDED 3 GAMES

On August 5, 2025, the NFL handed down a 3-game suspension to Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison. The suspension stemmed from a DWI arrest that occurred on July 12, 2025, in California. Addison was found asleep at the wheel of a white Rolls-Royce blocking traffic on the highway near the Los Angeles International Airport. The California Highway Patrol arrested Addison on suspicion of DWI. Nearly a year later Addison reached a plea agreement to “wet reckless” driving, resulting in probation and a fine. This plea agreement then opened Addison up to suspension by the NFL.
Now that we know what happened, how does it affect the fantasy value of the wide receiver entering his 3rd season. As the number 2 wide receiver in Minnesota Addison has finished as the #21 and #23 ranked wide receiver in PPR leagues according to Sleeper Fantasy. With J.J. McCarthy taking the reins of the team there are high expectations for the team when it comes to passing yards and Addison is sure to benefit. Will the 3-game loss hurt his draft value where he could become a value pick? The ESPN top 300 list that was last updated on 8/5/25 has Addison at pick #79, but if you check the player data today on 8/7/25 his average draft position is #106. I think that trend could continue, and he could continue to fall as more drafts are taking place later in the month. If he falls any lower than the 10th round, he is a STEAL at that draft value. While missing the three games will hurt, I think that the value that late in the draft is worth the risk.
