JACKSONVILL JAGUARS – NEW COACH
First the Jaguars started the off season by firing Doug Pederson after 2 season, and for the time being kept the GM Trent Baalke. Then on January 22, 2025, they fired Trent Baalke after four seasons.

Before the Jags hired a new GM they went out and hired a new coach in Liam Coen. His resume started as a college coach for Brown in 2010 and he stayed in the college game until he got his break in the NFL as the Assistant Wide receivers coach for the Los Angeles Rams in 2018. Coen continued with the Rams for 3 seasons, then returned to the college game as the offensive coordinator in Kentucky. Then flipped back to the Rams for the 22 season, and back to Kentucky again for the 23 season. His final stop before he landed the head coaching job was as the offensive coordinator in Tampa Bay with head coach Todd Bowles.
Coen’s hire with the Jags was not without some drama, on 1/22/25, Jags Wire reported that Coen was staying with the Buccaneers as their offensive coordinator and had agreed to a new contract. The contract with the Buccaneers would have made him among the highest paid offensive coordinators in football. Apparently that news along with missing out on hiring Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn did not sit well with Jags owner Shahid Khan. Shortly thereafter he fired Trent Baalke and hired Liam Coen as the new head coach.
